Privacy notice
GameDrop helps adults discover sports venues and organize pickup games. The operator and support details appear below. This notice describes the current service. We will update it when our data practices change.

Providers and sharing
The current experience bundles Leaflet with the app and loads map images from OpenStreetMap. Area lookup uses Overpass and city search uses Nominatim. Directions open Google Maps only when selected. Resend receives your email address and verification or reset code for transactional delivery. Render hosts the backend in Oregon, United States, and processes traffic and stored data. When the backend venue lookup is unavailable, the app can request venue data directly from Overpass using a search area rounded to two decimals; that provider then receives your network address. Our service providers process information needed to deliver their services under their own terms and privacy notices. This build contains no advertising SDK, sale of personal data, cross-app tracking, or third-party behavioral analytics.
Retention and control
Account records and game content remain until deleted or removed. Lobby history is bounded to 2,000 messages per game; the latest 200 are shown. Pending email verification expires after 15 minutes. Rate-limiting data is held briefly in server memory. Security logs expire after 30 days by default; the operator can configure 1–90 days and must keep this notice accurate. Game check-in visibility ends after two hours; standalone spot check-ins use the duration you select. Expired timestamps may remain in the game record until deletion. Active account sessions expire after 12 hours; sign-out and password changes revoke existing sessions.
You can change your public name and sports, remove saved places, clear check-ins, export your account data, and delete your account from the account menu. Blocking hides content between signed-in accounts; public game information remains public and blocking does not prevent people from being at the same physical location. Downloaded exports and copies independently saved by other people cannot be erased by the app.
Account deletion removes the active profile, hosted games, authored messages, saved venues, squad leadership and memberships, and associated reports. Limited pseudonymous security events remain until log expiry. Provider backups may temporarily retain earlier copies until their normal expiry. Contact support for information about a deletion request or any retention required by law. To ask about access, correction, deletion or other regional rights, contact the operator below.
Weather forecasts
Forecast requests send a search or venue area rounded to two decimal places through our backend to MET Norway. Your player identity and device IP are not sent to that provider by our proxy. Forecasts are cached, can change, and are not live observations or guarantees of safe conditions. The app refreshes forecasts while in use. Forecasts may be unavailable beyond the provider’s available dates.
Terms of use
GameDrop is for adults 18 and older. Provide accurate account details and use a public name you have permission to use. Protect your credentials and do not impersonate others. You are responsible for your own posts and must have the necessary rights to share them. You allow the operator to store and display your submitted content as needed to provide and moderate the service; you retain ownership of your content.
A listing or RSVP is a plan to meet, not a venue booking, permit, guarantee of attendance, background check, or assurance of safety. The operator does not own or control listed venues. Check hours, access restrictions, permits, fees, weather, equipment and your ability to participate. Do not trespass, misrepresent a reservation, or use the app while driving. Leave if conditions are unsafe; contact local emergency services for immediate danger.
Map details and user descriptions can be incomplete or wrong. Hosts should communicate changes and cancel games they cannot attend. Be considerate when joining or leaving. A waitlist does not guarantee a spot; check your Inbox for any promotion to Going. Notifications in this release appear in the app; it does not send background push notifications.
Core participation is free. Pro is not on sale, and this build does not accept payments or start subscriptions. Any future paid offering requires separate, accurate pricing and subscription disclosures and a verified purchase system. Safety and account controls remain available without payment.
The operator may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules, investigate reports, and modify the service. Contact support to challenge a moderation decision. These terms do not exclude rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. You can stop using GameDrop and delete your account at any time.
Community rules
- Be welcoming. No harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual exploitation, explicit sexual material, or encouragement of violence.
- No scams, spam, impersonation, doxxing, or posting another person’s private information.
- Only arrange lawful sports activities. Respect venue staff, accessibility needs, property and local rules.
- Describe games honestly. Do not invent attendance, imply a venue endorsement or promise a reservation you do not have.
- Use Report on a game, message or squad, or Safety beside a player. Block abusive players. The owner reviews reports and the support inbox daily and can remove content or suspend accounts. This is not continuous monitoring or an emergency service.
- Child sexual abuse and exploitation, grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, and child sexual abuse material are strictly prohibited. Do not post, request, forward, or upload such material. Use the Child safety report reason or contact support; do not attach abusive material. Do not knowingly bring children into this adult community. Contact support if you believe an account belongs to a minor.
Delete your GameDrop account
On the app or web version, sign in, open your account using the top-right profile button, choose Delete my account, enter your password, and confirm. Deletion is available without payment. If you cannot sign in, use Forgot password or contact the operator for an identity-verified request. Hosted games and squads you lead are deleted; other people’s independent content remains.
